Green glass in the Greenhouse

I went on a little shopping to the marvellous Greenhouse of Ulriksdal. It's really the right place for getting the spring-feever among all pretty flowers, plats and pots. First pictures were taken just inside the front door, where I couldn't stop my happy feelings about this pretty green glass -all so simple but beautiful!!

Jag tog en liten shoppingtur till Ulriksdals trädgårdar. Det är verkligen rätta stället för att vårkänslor ska infinna sig! Där bland alla underbara blomster, plantor, krukor och arrangemang kan man lätt önska att man hade en släpkärra med sig..och en tjock plånbok. Första bilderna tog jag direkt innanför dörren, där jag inte kunde sluta glädjas åt detta fina gröna glas -i all sin enkelhet!

Blooming Friday : On the windowsill

And yes: I've got orchids on my windowsill! This is really a pretty one. ( I don't dare to call also this flower my favorite..I guess all flowers are!!) What makes orchids so special is the lovely colours, the great details and shapes of the flower and every time the orchids bloom I'm so fascinated about how long the flowers lasts!

Jo, jag har orkidéer på fönsterbrädan! Denna variant är verkligen härlig. Vad som gör orkidéerna så speciella är de underbara färgerna, detaljerna och formerna på blomman, och varje gång mina orkide'er blommar blir jag lika fascinerad av hur länge de står i blom!

My weekend / Min helg

Vilken fin helg: underbara promenader i ett vintrigt, vitt landskap med vacker nysnö -till och med solen visade sig! Nu när det är snötäckt och kallt dessutom kan jag inte låta bli att tänka på småfåglarna. Jag gjorde en fågelmatare av en tom PETflaska, och fyllde den med näringsrik fågelmat och frön av alla de slag. Nu hänger den i trädgården (bredvid 'nöt-mataren' och talgbollarna), och uj vad hungriga de små fina fåglarna är..

My weekend was just great: walking in the winter-nature with plenty of new snow, and we also had some nice sun shining! So much snow in the nature now, and cold to -I can't stop thinking about the small birds, and that they need some extra caring right now. I made a new 'eco-friendly' bird-feeder from an empty plastic bottle. Now it's hanging in a branch, filled with energy-rich and delicious seed to the cute little birds in my garden!..and Yes, they are very hungry!!

Simplicity / Enkelhet

Often it is like this: simplicity is best! You can fuss and try your best to make something pretty, but I often get stuck on the simple, pure self-evident. As a flower arrangement in an old zinc tub with a rusty lantern by its side, or a clean view where the sky meets the sea ...Have a great week -I'm just back from adventures in the Schweizer Alpen !

Ofta är det så. enkelheten är bäst! Man kan krångla till allt hur mycket som helst, men ofta fastnar jag för det enkla, rena självklara. Som ett blomsterarrangemang i en gammal zinkbalja, eller en vacker vy där himmel möter hav..Ha en underbar vecka -här har upplevts Alperna på nära håll!

Stones and Roses / Stenar och Rosor

What's so fascinating about stones? I keep on collecting them, wherever I goes..The polished, round, soft ones are my favorites! And how can you use stoen, by the way? For decoration: in pots, at the table or make a nice collection of them! ..or just let them be beautiful!! They're also a perfect combination to pretty romantic roses.

Hur kan stena vara så fascinerande? Jag samlar fortfarande stenar vart jag än kommer. Mina favoriter är de runda, slipade lena. Vad kan man då använda dem till? Placera dem i blomkrukor, lägg dem på bordet, eller gör att vackert stilleben av dina finaste stenar! De blir helt perfekt tillsammans med romantiskt råsa rosor.

Busy! / Fullt upp!

Not only me being busy in the garden..There's so many pretty flowers to care for, branches to be pruned..

Also the small friends in the garden have plenty to do: the cute bumblebees are busy to find the sweet nectar from the flowers.This Astrania major is a plant we've had in the garden for years..The flowers are so pretty, and I seem to love it ever more year after year!

Det är inte bara jag som har att göra i trädgården..Vackra blommor behöver sin skötsel, och kvistar behöver beskäras.

Också de små vännerna i naturen har fullt upp: de söta humlorna är upptagna med att finna nektar. Den underbara Stjärnflockan har funnits i planteringen på tomten så länge jag minns. Blommorna är så ljuvligt skira, och dess utformning otroligt vacker!
